I am a licensed psychologist in Missouri providing individual, couples, and group therapy to adults.
I earned my master’s and doctoral degrees in counseling psychology at Western Michigan University and I completed my predoctoral internship at the University of Georgia Counseling Center.
Before going into private practice full time in 2006, I worked at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) in the Counseling Psychology Division as a clinical instructor and as the director of the Community Counseling Services, which is the clinical training center for graduate students in the division. I also completed my postdoctoral fellowship at the UMKC Counseling Center.
I have over twenty years of experience providing both time-limited and long-term therapy on a wide range of clinical issues with adults from a variety of socio-economic, racial, and ethnic backgrounds, as well as sexual orientations.
To help against the spread of COVID-19, I am temporally suspending in-person therapy. You will still be able to have a therapy session, but it will be done via Teletherapy using a HIPAA-compliant video platform. Most insurance plans are covering Teletherapy, and some are even waiving co-pays and coinsurance fees for patients. Please check with your insurer about any possible restrictions in your coverage for Teletherapy.
